Whisky as an asset · Est. cask register

Time is the only ingredient we can't manufacture.

Cask Base gives you direct ownership of maturing Scotch: whole casks or fractional shares, with bonded storage, independent valuations and an unbroken record of every hand it passes through.

100%

coded & QR tracked

Every cask on our register is a physical, finite object. We source it, seal it, code it and log every movement, inspection and valuation until you decide to exit.

KYC before you invest

Every client completes KYC, and every cask is inspected and independently valued.

HMRC-bonded storage

Casks stay in duty-suspended bonded warehouses in Scotland and England, fully insured.

Coded and scannable

Each cask carries a permanent code and QR label. Scan it and see the same record we do.

Custody

Your cask never leaves the chain.

Movements, inspections, revaluations and changes of ownership are appended to a record that cannot be edited. Corrections are added, never overwritten, so the history stays intact for the life of the cask.

Independent audit

An outside firm checks every cask, twice a year.

Every six months an independent accountancy firm is given read-only access to our full cask record: each cask on the register, where it is stored, every movement and valuation, and exactly who owns what share of it. They confirm that each cask a client paid for was bought, is in bond, and is owned by that client alone. Their signed report is published here for anyone to read.

One cask, one hundred percent, one set of owners. Nothing in the record can be edited after the fact.

Audit reports

The first audit report will be published here at the end of the current period.
